What’s New

          What’s new in the bee world?  We are in the early stages of taking  a step closer to treatment free beekeeping. This year we are planning on doing more walk-a-way splits as we have seen vast improvements in our bee yards since we have started. Not only in honey production but mite resistance as well. Our plan is to continue working on sustainable beekeeping to improve our genetics through walk away splits and propagating from our best stock. We will continue to monitor the bees mite levels and set a plan in motion for weeding out the undesirable traits as best we can.  It’s a small step toward what we hope will keep improving over time.
